Interim Director of Finance and Administration

The Interim Director of Finance and Administration supports all aspects of financial operations for the entity. This position is responsible for the day-to-day financial management and oversight of two separate companies, along with the appropriate policies, practices and compliance procedures necessary to mitigate financial risks. In addition, the Interim Director of Finance and Administration is responsible for budgets, financial aspects of strategic planning and analysis, cumulative financial reporting, the annual audit(s), the financial aspects of employee benefits, and tax filings. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Financial Management
o Meet with CEO on a regular basis regarding financial management and analysis, strategic planning, cash flow and budgets.
o Manage all financial resources of the ECI, to include each entity ERC and ECA
o Manage cash flow and cash projections.
o Bookkeeping including A/P and A/R.
o Prepare the month end reconciliations and manage month end close process on a timely basis.
o Prepare and disseminate timely financial reports and analysis to the appropriate staff members.
o Prepare and manage year-end financial projections.
o Prepare and manage the annual budget process.
o Manage all information related to one annual audit of two separate entities and prepare all audit and tax materials.
o Prepare and manage all tax and operation filings including but not limited to 1099s, W-9s, personal property tax, business licenses, etc.
o Review and manage all vendors, contractors and customers.
o Oversee pricing of proposals, costing and products.
o Review all contracts and agreements and manage filing system.
o Work with the Corporate Secretary in connection to the ERC/ECA Board Finance & Audit Committees.
o Work with Corporate Secretary and CEO to in communications to the ERC Treasurer.

Human Resources, Technology and Administration
o Manage the human resource functions including compensation, benefits, performance evaluation, training and recruiting.
o Manage payroll and benefits through ADP & other systems as appropriate
o Ensure accurate time tracking and allocations from a single payroll to two separate entities
o Liaison with the IT contractors for technology, computers, and related equipment and software.
o Oversee administration functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position supervises the Sr. Systems & Revenue Manager and HR function/consultant.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably a Master’s Degree.
• At least 7-10 years of overall professional experience ideally with broad financial and operations management experience.
• Knowledge of financial forecasting.
• Detail and results oriented.
• Leadership and business acumen.
• Expert level problem solver and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to take complex data and find the key metrics.
• Desire to learn and grow in the role.
• Experience managing a company's cash flow.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software; Sage 50 (Peachtree) a plus.
• Proficiency with Bill.com software experience preferred.
• Good written, verbal, and listening skills.

Certificates and Licenses:
• CPA highly preferred.
 

Remote due to COVID-19. Must be comfortable working onsite.
