Key Responsibilities
- Lead Strategic Direction: Drive the organization's vision and strategic goals, ensuring alignment with our mission to provide accessible mental health care to underserved communities.
- Strengthen DEI Integration: Implement and promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives across all organizational levels, embedding these principles in every decision and action.
- Oversee Organizational Growth: Manage and guide the expansion of services and programs, adapting to the evolving needs of the mental health landscape.
- Oversee Change Management: Lead the organization through periods of change, developing and executing strategies that ensure smooth transitions, stakeholder buy-in, and staff retention.
- Enhance Operational Efficiency: Streamline internal operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the organization remains agile and responsive.
- Cultivate Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners, donors, and board members, to enhance organizational impact and sustainability.
- Drive Fundraising Efforts: Lead and innovate in fundraising strategies to secure the financial health of the organization, focusing on major donors, foundations, and government grants.
- Foster a Collaborative Culture: Promote a work environment that values collaboration, continuous learning, and the diverse perspectives of all team members.
- Ensure Nonprofit Financial Accountability: Oversee the organization's financial management with a focus on transparency and accountability, including budgeting, financial reporting, compliance with nonprofit regulations, and ensuring the responsible allocation and stewardship of resources.
- Guide Organizational Change: Lead the organization through periods of change and transformation, ensuring smooth transitions and sustained staff engagement.
- Represent the Organization: Serve as the public face of Maria Droste Counseling Center, advocating for our mission and enhancing our visibility and reputation within the community and beyond.
- Curriculum and Training Advancement: Strong commitment to advancing curriculum and training programs, particularly for unlicensed clinicians, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources to grow professionally.
- Program Management Growth: Demonstrated desire to continuously develop and enhance program management skills, driving efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
- Multicultural Competency Development: Dedicated to developing and integrating multicultural practices into training and operations, ensuring that services are culturally responsive and inclusive.
- Nonprofit Sector Passion: Deep passion for and commitment to working within a nonprofit setting, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities that come with serving communities in need.
- Advocacy for Underserved Populations: Strong dedication to advancing the mental health workforce, with a focus on supporting and empowering underserved and marginalized populations to ensure they have access to quality care and resources.
- Senior Leadership Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a senior management role within a similarly-sized or larger nonprofit organization, with a proven track record of supervising and mentoring professionals.
- Relevant Educational Background: A degree in nonprofit management, public health, social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred; advanced degrees or certifications are a strong plus.
- Expertise in Mental/Behavioral Health: experience in the mental or behavioral health sector, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this field.
- Clinical and Healthcare Experience: Preferably has clinical experience in mental health settings, demonstrating a hands-on understanding of healthcare delivery and patient care in a clinical environment. Significant experience in the mental or behavioral health sector, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this field.
- Strategic and Operational Leadership: Demonstrated success in achieving strategic goals and driving operational excellence in an organization, with a focus on aligning objectives with mission-driven outcomes.
- Fundraising Excellence: Proven ability to secure substantial funding through major donors, foundations, and government grants, with a history of leading successful fundraising campaigns.
- Strategic Partnerships and Community Engagement: Extensive experience in developing and sustaining effective strategic partnerships and community relationships that enhance organizational impact and outreach.
- Nonprofit Financial Management: Strong experience in managing and overseeing substantial budgets (minimum $3M), with full accountability for financial results, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit financial regulations.
- Forward Thinking Leadership: A strategic thinker and leader who can guide the organization through change and growth, with a focus on long-term sustainability and mission alignment.

Compensation: $ 112,000-$ 144,818 depending on experience and qualifications. Offering generous and comprehensive benefits.
